Animale Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, making it a perfect place for both special occasions and casual dinners. The food was outstanding, every dish was beautifully presented and full of unique, bold flavors. I especially loved the bone marrow and truffle hunter, which was cooked perfectly and had an amazing depth of taste. The cocktails were creative and well-balanced, adding to the whole dining experience. Service was top-notch — the staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Jakarta, and I’ll be coming back for sure!

The ambiance is quite romantic but also excellent for some quality time with your friends or acquaintances. It is located on the 11th floor, meaning you can eat with a good view of Jakarta from a top down view. The food here is truly something else. The meals we ordered were cooked to perfection, and the mocktails were top tier. The marron lobster pasta was immaculate in itself, with its umami flavor that is difficult to beat. The bone marrow is very delicious as well, with them serving it tableside. Unfortunately, despite the pasta in the pork guanciale dish tasting great, the meat itself were a bit too salty for my liking. The truffle truffle dessert was also delectable but it the sweetness of the chocolate could be overwhelming for some people. There is basement parking, so it’s a perfect restaurant to eat when you’re tackling with Jakarta’s unpredictable weather. Overall I’d grade this restaurant and its food a critically acclaimed 9.7/10. Would highly recommend, especially with all the attentive staff. (Overall bill for 2 pax were Rp1.1 mio with tax)

Such a beautiful dining experience at Carbon I came to Carbon for my late birthday dinner. I dined alone, but my boyfriend, who is of Peruvian descent, treated me to this meal from Japan. I had been wanting to try a Peruvian restaurant for a long time since it’s quite rare to find one in Jakarta. The service was so kind and thoughtful. I have a nut allergy (specifically macadamia), and they made sure everything I ordered was safe for me. I really appreciated that level of care. Here’s what I had: - Cauliflower Steak – one of the best I’ve ever tasted. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. - Garlic Mojo Mushrooms – three kinds of mushrooms, all seasoned beautifully. I loved every bite. - “Arroz Chaufa” Chicken – the star of the night. Everything was just right, and when I mixed the rice, chicken, sauce, and crispy onions together, it was pure magic. - Avocado Bon Bon – like a tiny avocado smoothie inside chocolate ganache. Perfect balance, perfect size. The arroz chaufa felt especially meaningful since my boyfriend often talks about this dish from his culture. It made me feel connected to him, even from afar. Salud to the chef — so talented. Every detail was right: the portion, the balance, the flavor. Wow. Thank you to the chef and team for making this such a memorable meal. Everything was beyond my expectations, from the food to the warmth of the service. Definitely a place I’ll return to and recommend to anyone looking for something special in Jakarta.
